Feb 8-Oct 5, 2014 – A World of Its Own: Photographic Practices in the Studio

Opening February 8, 2014, this MOMA show in NY brings together photographs, films, videos and other mediums. With approximately 180 works by 90 artists, the show looks t the roles played by the photographer’s studio as an autonomous space. Organized by Quentin Bajac, The Joel and Anne Ehrenkranz Chief Curator, with Lucy Gallun, Assistant Curator, Department of Photography.  

AIPAD SHOW April 10-13 NYC

The 2014 AIPAD Photography Show New York will be held April 10-13 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The Opening Night Gala will be on Wednesday, April 9. More than 80 of the world’s leading photography art galleries will present a wide range of museum-quality work, including contemporary, modern and nineteenth-century photographs, as well as photo-based art, video, and new media, at the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City’s Upper East Side. The ‘Seinfeld’ Porsche Gmünd 356/2-040

Klaus Schnitzer – This photograph of the Porsche Gmünd 356/2-040 was an assignment for the book  “Porsche – Origin of the Species” by Karl Ludvigsen (Bentley Publishers, Cambridge, MA). The car, owned by the noted Porsche collector Jerry Seinfeld, had just finished a long preservation effort (as opposed to a ‘better than new’ restoration) at the world-renowned shop of Paul Russell & Co in Essex, MA. My assignment was to create a number of car-to-car images, along with a series
